TO EVALUATE CERTAIN PHOTOVOLTAIC SOLAR POWERED STREETLIGHTS TO BE LOCATED AT THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF SOUTHWEST 1ST COURT AND SOUTHWEST 1ST STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA; FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE SAID TRIAL AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, ON BEHALF OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. WHEREAS, on December 11, 2015 the City of Miami ("City") received (1) one 240 Watt Off -Grid 24 Volt 60 Ampere Hour Solar Light Emitting Diode Lighting System with a 20' pole and base ("Equipment") at no cost; and WHEREAS, the Public Works Department ("Department") will be installing the Equipment for six (6) months at no cost to the City; and WHEREAS, this would enable the City and Department to evaluate the functionality and durability of a Solar Powered Streetlight to determine its feasibility of use in an urban environment; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City accepts a Trial Agreement from ClearWorld, LLC. to evaluate certain photovoltaic solar powered streetlights to be located at the Southwest corner of Southwest 1st Court and Southwest 1st Street, Miami, Florida Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute said Trial Agreement, in substantially the attached form, on behalf of the City of Miami. Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{2} Footnotes: City of Miami Page 1 of 2 File Id: 16-00074 (Version: 1) Printed On: 4/25/2018 File Number: 16-00074 Enactment Number: R-16-0107 {1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions. {2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
