Director Chief City Manager Page 1 of 1 AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED Background Information: Pursuant to Resolution No. R-16-0035, adopted January 28, 2016, the Miami City Commission approved CDBG Program Year categories, allocating the projected amount of $715,297.20 and the amount of $120,000 from previous years Program Income, for a total projected amount of $835,297.20 in the Public Service category. On February 16, 2016, HUD posted the City's CDBG allocation which resulted in a reduction of $8,440.50 in the public service category as approved pursuant to Resolution No. R-16-0035. The ensure that no agency's allocation is reduced, Department of Community and Economic Development recommends the transfer of additional $8,440.50 prior year program income from administration to the 2016-2017 public service category. The City Administration recommends the allocation for 2016-2017 Program Year CDBG funds, from HUD entitlement grants funds in the amount of $706,856.70 and the amount of $128,440.50 from previous years Program Income, for a total amount of $835,297.20 in the Public Service category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for Public Service activities beginning April 1, 2016.
