Resolution authorizing the execution of a Lease Agreement by and between the Grand Condominium
Association, Inc. ("Lessor") and the City of Miami, Department of Fire -Rescue ("City") for the use of the
Condominium known as Grand Condominiums, located at 1717 N. Bayshore Drive, Miami, FL. The City has a
need to place a maritime radar and associated instruments ("Communication Equipment"). The
Communication Equipment to be installed is part of the South Florida Maritime Security System, an initiative
funded by the Department of Homeland Security. Said lease is at no cost to the City and shall commence upon
the execution hereof by the City and shall extend for a period of five (5) years thereafter, unless earlier
terminated pursuant to the provisions of the Agreement,

Background Information
The Grand Condominium Association, Inc. ("Lessor") is the Condominium Association which
governs and controls the common areas of the condominium known as the Grand Condominium,
located at 1717 N. Bayshore Drive, Miami, Florida.
The City of Miami, ("City") has a need to place a maritime radar and associated instruments
("Communication Equipment") on a building in within the City limits, which lies in Miami -Dade
County.
The Communication Equipment to be installed is part of the "South. Florida Maritime Security
System," an initiative funded by the Department of the Homeland Security.
Lessor has space available on the rooftop of the Condominium building for installation of the
City's Communication Equipment.
The City shall have the right to access, use and operate its Communication Equipment on a 24-
hour basis during the entire Term of this Agreement. The City reserves the right to allow third
parties access to the space for maintenance purposes.
Said lease is at no cost to the City and shall commence upon the execution hereof by the City and
shall extend for a period of five (5) years thereafter, unless earlier terminated pursuant to the
provisions of the Agreement.
