A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXERCISE THE SECOND AND THIRD ONE (1) YEAR
OPTIONS -TO -RENEW FOR REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS NO. 270254 BETWEEN
THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") AND FISHER AUCTION CO., INC. AND RENE'
BATES AUCTIONEERS, INC., PURSUANT TO RESOLUTION NO. 12-0036,
ADOPTED JANUARY 26, 2012 FOR THE PROVISION OF AUCTION SERVICES
CITYWIDE, ON AN AS -NEEDED CONTRACTUAL BASIS.
WHEREAS, on January 26, 2012, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 12-0036,
approving the City of Miami ("City") award of Request for Proposals ("RFP") No. 270254 to Fisher
Auction Co., Inc., for On -Site Auction Services, and to Rene' Bates Auctioneers, Inc., for Internet
Auction Services, Citywide, for the City's Procurement Department ("Department") for an initial period
of one (1) year, with the option -to -renew for three (3) additional one (1) year periods, with each
renewal subject to City Commission approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager and the Department have indicated the need to exercise the second
and third one (1) year options -to -renew of the City's RFP No. 270254 with Fisher Auction Co., Inc. and
Rene' Bates Auctioneers, Inc., for the continued provision of auction services Citywide, on an
as -needed contractual basis;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized to exercise the second and third one (1) year
options -to -renew for RFP No. 270254, between the City and Fisher Auction Co., Inc. and Rene' Bates
Auctioneers, Inc., pursuant to Resolution 12-0036, adopted January 26, 2012, for the provision of
auction services Citywide, on an as -needed contractual basis.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1} This resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
calendar (10) days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the
effective date stated herein, whichever is later.
