The nature of this item is to establish a term contract pursuant to Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 527387,
with Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform, the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, for the purchase
of breeches and boots, for the City's Police Department, on an as needed contractual basis, for an
initial contract period of three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year
periods; allocating funds from the various sources of funds from the end user department, subject to
availability of funds and budgetary approval at time of need; authorizing additional suppliers to be
added to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the City.
Background Information:
The Police Department has a need to purchase breeches and boots. On December 4, 2015, the
Department of Procurement (Procurement) issued Invitation for Bid (IFB) No. 527387 for the
purchase of breeches and boots. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and
issued on-line. On December 28, 2015, at the bid opening, two (2) bids were submitted and have been
tabulated. Procurement is recommending award to Gold Nugget d/b/a Argo Uniform, the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder. The estimated annual contract amount is approximately
$32,320.00. The total fiscal impact for the term of the contract, including option to renew years is
$161,600.
