Subject: A resolution requiring that all recipients of funds from the Citywide Anti -Poverty Initiative
complete a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) with the City.
Purpose of Item:
A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION REQUIRING THAT ALL RECIPIENTS OF
FUNDING FROM THE CITYWIDE ANTI -POVERTY INITIATIVE FUND COMPLETE A
MEMORANDUM OF AGREEMENT (MOA) WITH THE CITY. THE AGREEMENT SHOULD ADDRESS
SUCH AREAS AS SCOPE OF SERVICES, PERFORMANCE MEASURES, INVOICING, AND
CONFLICTS OF INTEREST.
Background Information:
The Citywide Anti -Poverty Initiative Fund is budgeted at $2.25 million for fiscal year 2015-2016. In an
effort to ensure accountability and transparency this resolution seeks to require that recipients of
funding reach a mutual understanding with the city. This would guarantee that there is no
misunderstanding regarding the use of funding and the effectiveness of a project that is funded.
