DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) ENTITLEMENT GRANT FUNDS, IN THE TOTAL PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $20,534,139 AS STATED HEREIN, FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG"), HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS ("HOME"), HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS ("HOPWA"), AND THE EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT ("ESG"), FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2016-2017; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENT(S) TO IMPLEMENT THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE ACTUAL AMOUNTS OF GRANT FUNDS WHEN MADE AVAILABLE FOR SAID PURPOSE. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") provides the City of Miami ("City") entitlement grants annually under the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA, and the ESG. HUD has not yet allocated funds for the program year 2016-2017, but pursuant to HUD regulations the previous year's allocation can be used as a projection for planning purposes. Projected funds to be granted to the City under said programs are: (1) $4,768,648 to the CDBG Program, (2) $2,531,595 to the HOME Program (3) $12,811,866 to the HOPWA Program, and (4) $422,030 to the ESG Program. The Administration recommends accepting HUD Entitlement Grant Funds, in the total projected amount of $20,534,139 as stated herein, for the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA, and ESG for Fiscal Year 2016-2017.
