The nature of this item is to establish a term contract, pursuant to Invitation for Bid (IFB) 503340, with
Global Trading, Inc., for the provision of uniforms Citywide, for an initial contract period of three (3)
years, with an option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, allocating funds from the
various sources of funds from the end user departments, subject to the availability of funds and budget
approval at the time of need; authorizing additional suppliers to the contract as deemed in the best
interest of the City.
Background Information:
The City has a need to procure uniforms Citywide for its employees. On July 29, 2015, the Department
of Procurement (Procurement) issued Invitation to Bid (IFB) No. 503340 for the procurement of
uniforms Citywide. As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised in the newspaper of
general circulation and issued on. -line. On August 25, 2015, at the bid opening, one (1) bid was
submittedand has been tabulated, one (1) bid was submitted after the closing date and time, and was
deemed non -responsive. Procurement is recommending award to Global Trading, Inc. the sole
responsive and responsible bidder. The estimated annual spend for the provision of uniforms is
approximately $43,000.00. The total fiscal impact for the term of the contract, including the option to
renew years is $215,000.
