A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BID
RECEIVED SEPTEMBER 2, 2015, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID NO.
503341, FROM SOUTHERN COMFORT SOLUTIONS, INC., THE LOWEST
RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, TO PROVIDE AIR CONDITIONING
REPAIR AND MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR VARIOUS CITY OF MIAMI POLICE
DEPARTMENT FACILITIES, FOR AN INITIAL CONTRACT PERIOD OF THREE (3)
YEARS, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ADDITIONAL ONE (1)
YEAR PERIODS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF
FUNDS FROM THE END USER DEPARTMENT, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY
OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARYAPPROVALAT THE TIME OF NEED.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Police Department ("MPD") has a need for the provision of air
conditioning system repair and maintenance services;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The bid received September 2, 2015, pursuant to Invitation for Bid No. 503341, from
Southern Comfort Solutions, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, to provide air
conditioning repair and maintenance services at various MPD facilities, for an initial contract period of
three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, is accepted,
allocating funds from the various sources of funds from the end user department, subject to the
availability of funds and budgetary approval, at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon the adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1 } This Resolution shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
(10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
