Hannon City Clerk Date: Subject: References: Enclosures: September 21, 2015 Equal Opportunity Advisory Board Agenda for October 8, 2015 List of members and Resume The Equal Opportunity Advisory Board, a Fourteen (14) member board was created to review and recommend to the City Commission the adoption of amendments/revisions to the City's affirmative action plan. The board also reviews employment policies and practices of the City and makes recommendations to the Depaituient of Employee Relations. Thirteen (13) appointments are required at this time: • Chair Wifredo (Willy) Gort has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Miriam Urra, incumbent, whose term expired on July 10, 2015, has exceeded the number of allowed consecutive absences (6 in 2015 and 4 in 2014), and the number of allowed absences (6 in 2015 and 4 in 2014), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance; further as she has served as a member since February 8, 2001, she will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5) vote of the Commission.* 2. Vacant. (Jordana Zarut resigned effective September 2, 2014)t • Vice Chair Keon Hardemon has two (2) nominations for seats currently held by: 1. Charles Flowers, incumbent, whose term expired on March 13, 2015, has exceeded the number of allowed consecutive absences (7 in 2015 and 3 in 2014), and the number of allowed absences (7 in 2015 and 6 in 2014), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance; further as he has served as a member since April 26, 2001, he will require a term waiver by a unanimous (5/5) vote of the Commission.$ 2.
