AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION MAKING PROVISIONS FOR
EARLY VOTING IN THE CITY OF MIAMI, PURSUANT TO SECTION 100.3605,
FLORIDA STATUTES, FOR THE GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION TO BE HELD
ON NOVEMBER 3, 2015; DESIGNATING CERTAIN SITES AND A SCHEDULE FOR
EARLY VOTING; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE AND PROVIDING FOR
AN IMMEDIATE EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, Section 101.657, Florida Statutes, provides for early voting in the various locations in
Florida; and
WHEREAS, no county, state or federal elections are scheduled for November 3, 2015, however,
the general municipal election for the City of Miami ("City") is scheduled on November 3, 2015; and
WHEREAS, Section 100.3605, Florida Statutes, authorizes a municipality to conduct early voting
at times determined by the municipality so long as the early voting activities do not conflict with the
Florida Election Code; and
WHEREAS, the City has determined that it is in the best interest of the City to conduct early
voting on the dates and times set forth herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Ordinance are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. Early voting in the City for the November 3, 2015, General Municipal Election will be
held at the designated sites referenced below on the following dates and times.
Early Voting Sites for Districts 1 and 2:
1) Allapattah Branch Library
2) Lemon City Branch Library
3) Miami City Hall
4) West Flagler Branch Library
5) Stephen P. Clark Building
Early Voting Schedule:
1799 Northwest 35th Street
430 Northeast 61 st Street
3500 Pan American Drive
5050 West Flagler Street
111 Northwest 1st Street

Section 3. If any section, part of a section, paragraph, clause, phrase or word of this Ordinance is
declared invalid, the remaining provisions of this Ordinance shall not be affected.
Section 4. This Ordinance shall become effective immediately after final reading and adoption
thereof. {1}
Footnotes:
{1} This Ordinance shall become effective as specified herein unless vetoed by the Mayor within ten
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Ordinance, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date
stated herein, whichever is later.
