A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO GIVE ALL PERMANENT FULL-TIME NON -BARGAINING CITY OF
MIAMI EMPLOYEES, WHO ARE ACTIVE AS OF SEPTEMBER 30, 2015, A
ONE-TIME, NON -RECURRING, 2.5 PERCENT PAY SUPPLEMENT BASED ON
THE EMPLOYEES' BASE SALARY FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDING SEPTEMBER
30, 2015.
WHEREAS, the City Commission would like to give all permanent full-time non -bargaining City of
Miami employees, as of September 30, 2015, a one-time, non -recurring, 2.5 percent pay supplement
based on the employees' base salary; and
WHEREAS, the 2.5 percent pay supplement will consist of a one-time payment based on the
employees' base salary excluding any other supplements or payment of overtime; and
WHEREAS, said pay supplement shall not be pensionable; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to allocate the estimated amount of $927,000.00, for the 2.5 percent
one-time pay supplement from sufficient reserves of the FY 2014-15 projected surplus from special
pays in the Non -Departmental Account;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and
incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is authorized {1} to give all permanent full-time non -bargaining City
employees, as of September 30, 2015, a one-time, non -recurring, 2.5 percent pay supplement based
on the employees' base salary, which said supplement will be non -pensionable.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
