Subject: Resolution approving the City of Miami "FY 2015-16 Multi -Year Capital Improvement Plan".
Purpose of Item:
To approve the City of Miami's "FY 2015-16 Multi -Year Capital Improvement Plan" as required by the Local
Government Comprehensive Planning and Land Development Regulation Act, more particularly, Section 163.3177,
Florida Statutes (2015), and pursuant to Chapter 18/Article IX/Divisions 1 and 2 of the Code of the City of Miami,
Florida, as amended ("City Code"), entitled "Finance/Financial Policies/Anti-Deficiency Act/Financial Integrity
Principles."
Background Information:
The Capital Improvements Program is tasked with the responsibility to execute capital improvement projects.
Pursuant to Chapter 18/Article IX/Divisions 1 and 2 of the City Code, entitled "Finance/Financial Policies/Anti-
Deficiency Act/Financial Integrity Principles," the City is required to prepare a capital plan detailing improvements
needed to support City services. The Capital Plan identifies $1,056.8 Million in projects ($358 Million funded,
$180.8 Million partially funded, and $518 Million unfunded) for the current Fiscal Year plus five (5) additional
years. The plan is detailed by fund and identifies revenue sources.
