HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-15-0386City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-15-0386 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 15-01037 Final Action Date: 9/10/2015 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE ANNUAL BUDGET OF THE LIBERTY CITY COMMUNITY REVITALIZATION TRUST, ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, IN THE AMOUNT OF $626,843.00, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR COMMENCING OCTOBER 1, 2015 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 2016. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") created and established the Liberty City Community Revitalization Trust ("Trust") pursuant to Ordinance No. 12859, adopted October 12, 2006; and WHEREAS, the Trust is responsible for the oversight and facilitation of the City's revitalization and redevelopment activities in the Liberty City area; and WHEREAS, Section 12.5-36 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, provides that the Trust shall submit a budget to the City Commission for approval, in a form acceptable to the City Manager; and WHEREAS, the governing body of the Trust reviewed and approved the Trust's budget for Fiscal Year 2015-2016 on September 1, 2015; and WHEREAS, the Trust requests the approval of the budget for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2016, in the amount of $626,843.00; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The Trust's Fiscal Year 2015-2016 budget, in the amount of $626,843.00, attached and incorporated, for the Fiscal Year commencing October 1, 2015 and ending September 30, 2016, is approved and adopted. Section 3. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
