A Resolution approving and permitting a pedestrian overpass over NW 6 Street west of NW 12
Avenue to connect the SLAM Charter Schools and accepting a $8,815.00 one-time user fee and to
allow for the placement of school identification signage on the pedestrian overpass.
Background Information:
Miami School Group LLC has requested authorization for the construction and maintenance of a
pedestrian overpass over NW 6 Street to connect the SLAM Charter Schools at 542 and 604 NW 12
Avenue. The owner has submitted certified property appraisals for the abutting properties and has
agreed to pay a one-time user fee in the amount of $8,815.00 in accordance with City Code Section
55-14. The owner further desires to include the "SLAM!" school identification signage affixed to the
overpass structure. Attached is a copy of the user fee calculation, location map and drawing of the
overpass and signage.
