Carlos Joaquin Arboleya
jr., son ofproruinent Cuban
banker Carl6s'ArboIeya,
died Friday at home of a
heart attack He was 56.
Known as a loving per-
son who always cared for
the well being of others, Ar-
boleya was born. in Havana
and arrived in Miami with
minent Cuban ba
his parents t age lq in1960.
After graduating from
the University of Miami's
schools of law a4d busi-
ness administrat on, he
opened big own la firm at
2550 S. Dixie Hwy., and
specialized in real estate
Jaw.
-His cousin, Teresa de
Torres Magluta, described
Arboleya as a big fan of au-
to racing and of the Boy
Scouts, an organization to
which he had remained
connected since childhood,
and in which he had
achieved the rank of Eagle
Scout.
He also enjoyed sailing
and Ioved to go out on his
boat, Torres said.
"Iris spark and cheerful
manner will always be re-
membered by his family,
friends and, associntps," his
family wrote in •a
statement.
His father, Carlos Arbo-
leya, is an adnur' ed figure in
Hispanic commu-
nity.
