The nature of this item is to establish a term contract for the procurement of scheduled and emergency
underwater visual inspection reporting/repair, for the Department of Real Estate and Asset
Management, on an as needed contractual basis, with Blue Water Marine Services, Inc., the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder. The initial term of the contract shall be for a period of three (3)
years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to the availability of
funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Additional suppliers may be added to the contract as
deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami.
Background Information:
The City of Miami has a need for scheduled and emergency underwater visual inspection
reporting/repair. On June 1, 2015, the Procurement Department issued. an Invitation for Bid (IFB No.
501325). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. On June
17, 2015, at the bid opening, one (1) bid was submitted to the Office of the City Clerk, and two (2) bids
were submitted on line via the Oracle/iSupplier System. All three (3) bids were tabulated. The
Procurement Department is recommending award to Blue Water Marine Services, Inc., the lowest
responsive and responsible bidder. The estimated annual contract amount is $20,000.00.
