Roadway Improvements — D3 for Maggolc, Inc.
Purpose of Item:
To authorize the City Manager to execute Amendment No. 1 to Contract No. 13-1917 with Maggolc, Inc.
(Maggolc), for the provision of NW 18th Place Roadway Improvements — D3, to increase the authorized expenditure
limit by a not to exceed amount of $94,765.12, thereby increasing the total contract amount from $352,348.79 to an
amount not to exceed $482,348.79, inclusive of $35,234.88 for the contingency allowance. Funds are to be allocated
from the appropriate Capital Improvements and Transportation Projects.
Background Information:
On January 9, 2014, pursuant to Resolution R-14-0003, the City Commission authorized the execution of Contract
No. 13-1917 with Maggolc for the provision of NW 18th Place Roadway Improvements — D3, in an amount not to
exceed $387,583.67, inclusive of $35,234.88 for the contingency allowance.
Per the Justification Memorandum dated on April 6, 2015, added scope from the Capital Improvements and
Transportation Program (CITP), utility conflicts, and additional paving required by Miami -Dade County (MDC),
resulted in the attached contract change order submitted by Maggolc.
