A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
ACCEPTING THE PROPOSALS RECEIVED, PURSUANT TO REQUEST FOR
QUALIFICATIONS ("RFQ") NO. 489328, AND APPROVING THE ESTABLISHMENT
OF A PRE -QUALIFICATION LIST COMPRISED OF FOUR (4) QUALIFIED
PROPOSERS, AS LISTED ALPHABETICALLY IN "EXHIBIT A," ATTACHED HEREIN,
TO PROVIDE LOT CLEARING SERVICES FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF CODE
COMPLIANCE, ON AN AS -NEEDED BASIS, FOR AN INITIAL PERIOD OF TWO (2)
YEARS WITH AUTOMATIC ANNUAL RENEWALS UNTIL SUCH TIME AS IT IS
DEEMED IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF MIAMI ("CITY") TO ISSUE A
NEW SOLICITATION; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF
FUNDS, SUBJECT TO BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED;
FURTHER AUTHORIZING, IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE RFQ, THE ABILITY TO
ADD QUALIFIED FIRMS OR INDIVIDUALS TO THE CONTRACT WHEN DEEMED
IN THE CITY'S BEST INTEREST WITHOUT NEED FOR FURTHER CITY
COMMISSION AUTHORIZATION.
WHEREAS, the Department of Procurement has determined that a pre -qualified list of vendors is
required to perform lot clearing services for the Department of Code Compliance to ensure that
properties within the City of Miami ("City") are maintained free of debris and excessive vegetative
growth; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Request for Qualifications ("RFQ") No. 489328, advertised April 21,
2015, and which closed on May 11, 2015, the City sought proposals for the Pre -Qualification of Lot
Clearing Service Providers on an as -needed basis; and
WHEREAS, four (4) firms were deemed qualified by the City and are listed alphabetically in
"Exhibit A", attached herein; and
WHEREAS, funds are allocated from the various sources of funds, subject to budgetary approval
at the time of need;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble to this Resolution are adopted and
incorporated as if fully set forth in this section.
Section 2. The proposals received May 11, 2015, from various pre -qualified vendors and deemed
qualified as listed in "Exhibit A," as attached and incorporated, pursuant to RFQ 489328, for the
Department of Code Compliance, to provide lot clearing services, on an as -needed basis, for an initial
period of two (2) years with automatic annual renewals until such time as it is deemed in the best
interest of the City to issue a new solicitation are approved.

Section 3. The Department of Procurement is authorized {1} in accordance with said RFQ to add
qualified firms or individuals to the contract when deemed in the City's best interest without need for
further City Commission authorization.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be impo
by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Co
provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
