Purpose of Item: A Resolution authorizing City Manager after finding competitive negotiation methods are not practicable or advantageous and pursuant to section 18-85 (A) of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida; to execute an agreement, in substantially the attached form, with Exceptional Consulting for Educational Leaders, Inc., and Conee, Inc., for a period commencing August 1, 2015 through July 31, 2016, in an amount not to exceed $80,000.00 for Exceptional Consulting for Educational Leaders, Inc., with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods; and in amount not to exceed $22,000.00 for Conee, Inc., with the option to renew for two (2) additional one-year periods; in an amount not to exceed a grand total of $ 102,000.00, with the option to renew for two (2) additional periods, with funds allocated for Fiscal Year 2015-2016, with future Fiscal Years' funding, subject to budgetary approval. Director City Managg Page 1 of 2 The 2015 Children's Trust Notice of Funding Application required that the City have established relationships with the Service Providers identified in the application and this contract is a continuation of said services. The grant award is pursuant to what was stated in the Trust RFP. The Department of Grants Administration, Education Initiatives recommends that the City of Miami enter into agreements with Exceptional Consulting for Educational Leaders, Inc., and Conee, Inc., Florida For - Profit corporations to provide services for the Parenting "Families First" program as part of a grant from The Children's Trust. Approval of the resolution authorizes the City Manager to execute the agreement with this organization. The Children's Trust has recommended the City of Miami for a grant totaling $227,152 for the Families First Parenting Program. Page 2 of 2
