HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 15-00681 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LICENSE AGREEMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION ("FDOT"), FOR A PERIOD ENDING NO LATER THAN THE LAST DAY OF FEBRUARY, 2018, ENCOMPASSING APPROXIMATELY TEN (10) FEET OF A PORTION OF CITY -OWNED PROPERTY LOCATED AT 2200 WEST FLAGLER STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA ("PROPERTY"), AS MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED; THE LICENSE BEING USED SOLELY FOR THE SLOPING, TYING IN, HARMONIZING, AND RECONNECTING OF EXISTING FEATURES OF THE PROPERTY WITH THE ROADWAY IMPROVEMENTS CONDUCTED BY FDOT AT SAID LOCATION. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") owns the property located at 2200 West Flagler Street Miami, Florida ("Property"); and WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation ("FDOT") is planning the milling and resurfacing of State Road 968, also known as West Flagler Street ("Project"); and WHEREAS, FDOT has requested a License Agreement ("License") encompassing approximately ten (10) feet of a portion of the sidewalk on the Property, more particularly described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated; and WHEREAS, the License will be used solely for the sloping, tying in, harmonizing, and reconnecting of existing features of the Property with the roadway improvements being conducted by FDOT at said location; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are hereby adopted by reference andincorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is hereby authorized(1) to execute a License, in substantially the attached form, with FDOT, for a period ending no later than the last day of February, 2018, encompassing approximately ten (10) feet of a portion of City -owned property located at 2200 West Flagler Street, Miami, Florida. The License will be used solely for the sloping, tying in, harmonizing, and reconnecting of existing features of the Property with the roadway improvements being conducted by FDOT at said location. Section 3.
