A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
APPROVING THE CITY OF MIAMI'S ("CITY") ANALYSIS OF IMPEDIMENTS TO
FAIR HOUSING CHOICE ("Al") FOR FISCAL YEARS 2015-2020, ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THE CITY'S
Al FOR FISCAL YEARS 2015-2020 TO THE UNITED STATES DEPARTMENT OF
HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT FOR REVIEW AND APPROVAL.
WHEREAS, per the Code of Federal Regulations 24 FR 91.225 (a)(1), each jurisdiction is required
to submit a certification that it will affirmatively further fair housing by conducting an analysis to identify
impediments to fair housing choice within the jurisdiction, taking appropriate actions to overcome the
effects of the impediments identified through the analysis and maintaining records reflecting the
analysis and action in this regards; and
WHERAS, the current City of Miami's ("City's") Analysis of Impediments to Fair Housing Choice
("Al") is set to expire on September 30, 2015; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Community and Economic Development conducted a new Al which
includes actions to overcome the effects of impediments identified through such analysis; and
WHEREAS, the City Administration recommends the approval of the Al, in substantially the
attached form, for Fiscal Year 2015-2020;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as if fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City's Al for Fiscal Years 2015-2020, attached and incorporated, is approved.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to submit the City's Al for Fiscal Years 2015-2020, in
substantially the attached form, to the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development
for review and approval.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor {2}.

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be.
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by the City Attorney,
including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter and Code provisions._
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it --_
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
