This item passed on First Reading, April 09, 2015. Purpose of Item: An Ordinance amending Chapter 54/Article I of the City Code entitled "Streets and Sidewalks/In General", to establish fees related to the location of construction equipment and storage of materials and supplies within temporary obstruction or closure of a street or sidewalk area and to provide a procedure and fee to permit construction fence screens or construction wind screens containing advertising of the adjacent development to be affixed on temporary construction fences located in the public right of way. Background Information: Developers of property within the City may obtain permits to temporarily obstruct, with fences, portions of the public right of way to facilitate construction work on adjacent private property. Developers have requested that they be additionally permitted to temporarily locate equipment and store construction materials within the fenced portion of the right of way and to affix construction fence screens and construction wind screens to the temporary fences within the public right of way that contain advertising of the adjacent development.
