RE: Scrivener's Error — R''esolution No. 15-0210, adopted May 14, 2015, regarding
the addition of an East Little Havana Trolley Route

The legislation that is scanned into Legistar for Resolution No. 15-0210, adopted May 14,
2015, does not reflect the correct versions. Legislation was presented to the City Commission
for consideration on April 23, 2015 and was presented as "Version 1". The item was deferred
and on May 14, 2015, revised legislation was presented for consideration but the version was
incorrectly placed into "Version 1" instead of it being placed into "Version 2".
All versions of the legislation have been placed into Legistar and the correct legislation is
for "Version 2" is attached for use in placing the item in Legistar.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION DIRECTING THE CITY
MANAGER TO TAKE ALL STEPS NECESSARY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED
TO, AN AMENDMENT TO THE CITY OF MIAMI'S ("CITY'S") CURRENT
INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, TO ADD A
SOUTHWEST 8TH STREET/WEST FLAGLER STREET/NORTHWEST 7TH
STREET TROLLEY ROUTE TO THE CITY'S TROLLEY SYSTEM, RUNNING FROM
SOUTHWEST 8TH STREET, TO SOUTHWEST 1ST COURT, TO SOUTHWEST
7TH STREET, TO SOUTHWEST 3RD AVENUE, TO SOUTHWEST 6TH STREET,
TO SOUTHWEST 4TH AVENUE, TO SOUTHWEST SOUTH RIVER DRIVE, TO
NORTHWEST 1ST STREET, TO NORTHWEST 6TH AVENUE, TO WEST FLAGLER
STREET, TO WEST 57TH AVENUE, TO NORTHWEST 7TH STREET, TO
NORTHWEST 37TH AVENUE, TO SOUTHWEST 8TH STREET, MIAMI, FLORIDA
AND BACK.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") currently operates a multitude of trolleys in the Health
District, Overtown, Downtown, Brickell, and Coral Way areas; and
WHEREAS, the trolleys are used by tourists and locals alike; and
WHEREAS, Southwest 8th Street, West Flagler Street, and Northwest 7th Street are major
arterials in the City; and
WHEREAS, there is a large community that has been historically underserved by transit in Little
Havana and Flagami; and
WHEREAS, a trolley route in that location would greatly enhance these neighborhoods; and
WHEREAS, the route would encompass approximately thirteen and one-half (13.5) miles at an
average operational speed of ten (10) miles per hour with an expected eighteen (18) minute headway
between trolleys; and
WHEREAS, to achieve the above -stated timetable, an additional five (5) trolleys would be
necessary; and
WHEREAS, this trolley project would cost approximately seven hundred seven thousand eight
hundred dollars ($707,800.00) if the additional trolleys were purchased at the current contract rate and
approximately nine hundred ninety-five thousand, five hundred dollars ($995,500.00) if rented;

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The City Manager is directed to take all steps necessary, including, but not limited to, an
amendment to the City's current Interlocal Agreement with Miami -Dade County, to add a Southwest
8th Street/West Flagler Street/Northwest 7th Street trolley route to the City's trolley system, running
from Southwest 8th Street, to Southwest 1st Court, to Southwest 7th Street, to Southwest 3rd Avenue,
to Southwest 6th Street, to Southwest 4th Avenue, to Southwest South River Drive, to Northwest 1st
Street, to Northwest 6th Avenue, to West Flagler Street, to West 57th Avenue, to Northwest 7th Street,
to Northwest 37th Avenue, to Southwest 8th Street, Miami, Florida, and back.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
