A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN THE "INLET CLEANING CONTRACT NORTH
ZONE M-0043" CONTRACT WITH ENVIROWASTE SERVICES GROUP, INC.
("ENVIROWASTE"), IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $128,970.00, THEREBY
INCREASING THE CONTRACT CAPACITY FROM AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$171,030.00 TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $300,000.00, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE SECOND AMENDMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY
THE ATTACHED FORM, BETWEEN THE CITY OF MIAMI AND ENVIROWASTE,
FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the current contract between the City of Miami ("City") and Envirowaste Services
Group, Inc. ("Envirowaste"), pursuant to Resolution No. 12-0137, adopted April 12, 2012, limits
compensation to an amount not to exceed $171,030.00; and
WHEREAS, the Department of Public Works ("Department") is seeking to increase the contract
amount for the remaining contract terms to an amount not to exceed $300,000.00, in order to allow
the Department to maintain the City's Storm Sewer System on a proactive basis, and ensure
compliance with the City's National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System Operating Permit issued
by the Florida Department of Environmental Protection;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. An increase in the "Inlet Cleaning Contract North Zone M-0043" contract with
Envirowaste, in an amount not to exceed $128,970.00, thereby increasing the contract capacity from
an amount not to exceed $171,030.00 to an amount not to exceed $300,000.00 for the remaining
contract term, including options, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the Second Amendment to the Contract,
in substantially the attached form, for said purpose.
Section 4. The City Manager is further authorized {1} to execute said options to renew, subject to
the availability of funds and the contractors performance.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} if the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of (10) ten calendar
days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become
effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
