Hannon City Clerk Date: March 24, 2015 Subject: Civil Service Board Reference: Agenda for April 9, 2015 Enclosures: List of members Subject to the approval of the City Commission, the Civil Service Board was created to adopt, amend and enforce a code of rules and regulations which shall have the force and effect of law, providing for appointment and employment in all positions in the classified service, based on merit, efficiency, character, and industry; and to make investigations concerning the enforcement and effect of this article and of the rules adopted; and shall make an annual report to the Commission. One (1) appointment is required at this time: • Commission At Large has one (1) nomination for a seat currently held by: 1. William W. Riley, Jr., elected incumbent, whose term expires on May 8, 2016, has exceeded the number of allowed consecutive absences (3 in 2015), and will require a 4/5ths waiver of attendance. For your convenience, we are including a copy of the current membership of said board. By copy of this memorandum, we are requesting that the Agenda Office place this issue on the April 9, 2015, Commission agenda.
