As you know, on April 6, 2010, the Miami -Dade Board of County Commissioners approved a
$3,000,000 GOB Allocation to Miami Marine Stadium ("Stadium") pursuant to Resolution R-
328-10. We are writing to you to respectfully request an additional four months in this regard,
The City is currently in the process of developing a plan to present to the City Commission that
may include a Public Private Partnership to ensure the restoration of the Stadium, and to
establish the governance structure for the Stadium moving forward, The City fully intends to
move forward with the restoration of the Stadium, however we are in need of additional time.
I want to underscore the importance of the $3,000,000 allocation towards the restoration of the
Stadium and the various plans we have discussed. Having the support of the County is an
important factor. I want to assure you that in no way shape or form will the money be used for
the development of the ilex park, which is currently underway, 1 want to thank you for your
longstanding support in helping move this project forward, and realize our collective vision for a
restored and fully operational Marine Stadium that our community can enjoy for many years to
come,
Sincerely,
Tomas P. Le4-
