A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING AN INCREASE IN SOLE SOURCE CONTRACT NO. 13-14-004, FOR
THE SCAVENGER 2000 DECONTAMINATION BOAT, IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED $50,000.00, THEREBY INCREASING THE CONTRACT CAPACITY FROM
AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $600,000.00, TO AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED
$650,000.00; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AMENDMENT
NO. 1, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, BETWEEN THE CITY OF
MIAMI AND WATER MANAGEMENT TECHNOLOGIES, INC., FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the current contract between the City of Miami ("City") and Water Management
Technologies, Inc., for the Scavenger 2000 Decontamination Boat, pursuant to Resolution No, 13-
0449, adopted November 21, 2013, limits compensation in an amount not to exceed $600,000.00; and
WHEREAS, due to the increasing need for cleaning and decontaminating the Miami River,
Biscayne Bay, and all navigable tributaries, it has been deemed necessary to increase the contract by
$50,000.00 for Fiscal Year 2014-2015;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. An increase in Sole Source Contract No. 13-14-004, for the Scavenger 2000
Decontamination Boat, in an amount not to exceed $50,000.00, thereby increasing the contract
capacity from an amount not to exceed $600,000.00 to an amount not to exceed $650,000.00, is
authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized {1} to execute Amendment No. 1 to said contract, in
substantially the attached form, between the City and Water Management Technologies, Inc., for said
purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
