A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK
GRANT FUNDS, FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016, FOR ECONOMIC
DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $2,407,516.65,
TO THE AGENCIES SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND
INCORPORATED, FOR ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES IN THE
PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has
yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for
Program Year 2015, and as such, the amount of Community Development Block Grant ("CDBG")
Economic Development funds being recommended is a projection; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution adopted on February 26, 2015, the Miami City
Commission approved CDBG Program Year categories allocating the projected amount of
$2,407,516.65 for Economic Development; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocation account may vary from $2,407,516.65, and the City
Administration will adjust the allocation proportionally once HUD confirms the final CDBG formula
allocation for Program Year 2015-2016; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Administration recommends the allocation of CDBG funds for
Program Year 2015-2016, in the projected amount of $2,407,516.65, in the Economic Development
category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for economic
development activities in the program year 2015-2016;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of Program Year 2015-2016 CDBG funds, in the projected amount of
$2,407,516.65, in the Economic Development category, to the agencies specified in Attachment "A,"
attached and incorporated, for economic development activities in the program year 2015-2016, is
authorized.
Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation of
CDBG funds provided by HUD for the 2015-2016 Program Year.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form

acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor. {2}
Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to, those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
