A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF
$362,000.00 TO THE AGENCIES AS SPECIFIED IN ATTACHMENT "A", ATTACHED
AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC SERVICES ACTIVITIES; ALLOCATING SAID
FUNDS FROM THE CITY-WIDE POVERTY INITIATIVES PROGRAM, ACCOUNT
NO. 14010.910101.882000; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN
AGREEMENT(S), IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID
AGENCIES, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, due to the continuous decrease of available Community Development Block Grant
funds in the last few years, Public Service agencies' allocations have been reduced resulting in the
reduction of services to residents; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to allocate funding to cover Public Service Program
shortfalls for Fiscal Year 2014-2015 from the Poverty Initiatives Program Fund, Account No.
14010.910101.882000 and these funds were transferred from the General Fund Non Departmental
Account No. 00001.980000.891000; and
WHEREAS, the City Commission recommends the allocation of funds from the City-wide
Poverty Initiatives Program Account No. 14010.910101.882000, in the total amount of $362,000.00 to
the agencies as specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1, The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of funds, in the total amount of $362,000.00 to the agencies as
specified in Attachment "A", attached and incorporated, for public services activities, is authorized, with
said funds allocated from the City-wide Poverty Initiatives Program, Account No.
14010.910101.882000.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an agreement(s), in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, with said agencies, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.

A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF POVERTY INITIATIVE PROGRAM FUNDS
TOTALING $381,000.00, IN THE AMOUNTS, AND TO THE AGENCIES AS
SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC
SERVICE PROGRAM ACTIVITIES FOR THE PROGRAM YEAR 2014-2015,
BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 2014, FROM ACCOUNT NO. 14010.910101.882000;
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS, IN A FORM
ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID
PURPOSE.
