A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIP
PROGRAM FUNDS, IN THE PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $2,756,727.00, FOR
PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016, IN THE CATEGORIES AS SPECIFIED IN
ATTACHMENT "A," ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR THE DEVELOPMENT
OF AFFORDABLE HOUSING; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE
THE NECESSARY DOCUMENTS, IN A FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY
ATTORNEY, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") has
yet to release the final Community Planning and Development Program Formula Allocations for
Program Year 2015, and as such, the amount of Home Investment Partnership Program ("HOME")
funds being recommended is a projection; and
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Administration recommends the allocation of HOME funds, in the
projected amount of $2,756,727.00, for Program Year 2015-2016, in the categories as specified in
Attachment "A," attached and incorporated, for the provision of decent and affordable housing to low
income households; and
WHEREAS, the funding allocation to such activities as specified in Attachment "A" may vary
from the final amount received from HUD, and the the City Administration will adjust accordingly once
HUD confirms the final HOME formula allocation for Program Year 2015-2016;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The allocation of HOME funds, in the projected amount of $2,756,727.00, for
Program Year 2015-2016, for housing, programs in the categories as specified in Attachment "A,"
attached and incorporated, for the development of affordable housing, is authorized.
Section 3. These allocations will be adjusted in direct proportion to the actual allocation of
HOME funds provided by HUD for the 2015-2016 Program Year.
Section 4. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute the necessary documents, in a form
acceptable to the City Attorney, for said purpose.
Section 5. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature
of the Mayor.{2}

{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
