DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND URBAN DEVELOPMENT (HUD) ENTITLEMENT GRANT FUNDS, IN THE TOTAL PROJECTED AMOUNT OF $20,791,943, AS STATED HEREIN, FOR THE FOLLOWING PROGRAMS: COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT ("CDBG"), HOME INVESTMENT PARTNERSHIPS ("HOME"), HOUSING OPPORTUNITIES FOR PERSONS WITH AIDS ("HOPWA"), AND THE EMERGENCY SOLUTIONS GRANT ("ESG"), FOR PROGRAM YEAR 2015-2016; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY DOCUMENT(S) TO IMPLEMENT THE. Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") provides the City of Miami ("City") entitlement grants annually under the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPWA,, and the ESG. HUD has not yet allocated funds for the program year 2015-2016, but pursuant to HUD regulations the previous year's allocation can be used as a projection for planning purposes. Projected funds to be granted to the City under said programs are: (1) $4,809,641 to the CDBG Program, (2) $2,756,727 to the HOME Program (3) $12,826,037 to the HOPWA Program, and (4) $399,538 to the ESG Program, The Administration recommends accepting HUD Entitlement Grant Funds, in the total projected, amount of $20,791,943 as stated herein, for the following programs: CDBG, HOME, HOPVVA, and ESG for Fiscal Year 2015-2016.
