Additionally we are proud to announce a partnership initiative with the Mayor of Miami Dade County to offer jobs to community residents. The Circle of Brotherhood is also being considered to receive space in a local school to house our program. As we approach the end of the year and planning for 2015 is underway, we wanted to connect with you regarding your commitment of financial support to Neighbors and Neighbors Association (NANA) in support of The Circle of Brotherhood, Please let us know if we can count on you to help with our community efforts in the City of Miami. Thank you for your interest in supporting the Save Our Sons Liberty Square Initiative: We who have a vested interest in reducing crime can work together, NANA believes your financial support of this initiative will greatly reduce violent. crime in Liberty City, provide necessary mentors to underserviced males, and provide services to inmates returning to the community that will drastically reduce ricidivism, We are requesting financial support that will allow us to establish a mentoring and training center in the heart. of Liberty Square and provide a base for Save Our Sons, During the first phase of operation (6months), we will establish this base of operation and provide the following services in Liberty City: o Mental toughness retreat one week / identify 50 most at risk age 14-24 out of school youth • Community Reentry class all male offenders returning to the community • / 2days outside training/ one day week self improvement class • Employment training / Job placement and development ® Gang intervention and conflict resolution • individual / Family/Group Counseling • Community Awareness Campaign —focus on community partnerships/ economics/ educational sustainability • Parenting and Neighborhood fitness Classes One on One and Group Mentoring (focus on both high achievers / at risk) • Quarterly Community Service Projects • In school violence prevention training • Bays to Men school based training for most at risk in school population/Watch D.O.G.S. and Dads Of Great Students (school based) We are requesting from the City of Miami Police department.... Purpose of Services To drastically reduce crime and violence, with an emphasis on community safety, mentoring, and transformational training. SOS (Save Our Sons) is a campaign initiated in 2010, aimed at building and networldng; primarily Black male enhancement initiatives, programs and services in the South Florida, beginning in Overtown and Liberty City. The Save Our Sons Mentoring and Training Initiative was established with an immediate emphasis to combat low male achievement factors and link mentoring and training initiatives servicing .male children and their families. Through intensive outreach, door to door, school to school., and street to street; we will seek out all boys who are in need of prevention and intervention services and link them with the appropriate pathway to care. Simultaneously, we will seek out those who have been identified as the most gifted, talented, and academically sound amongst school aged boys in our region and provide them with the cover and assistance to reach their potential Demographics impact Zone: Overtown and Liberty Square will be our main geographical zones with a special emphasis on Liberty Square Ethnicity to be serviced: We will service all ethnic groups that live in our targeted zones; with a special emphasis on males. Gender served: Our program enrollment will be %100 male... Mover %100 of the community benefits from this crime prevention campaign. Target Population Served :Males 11 to 36 will be our primary focus We will serve all regardless of creed,class, or color along with sexual orientation and disabilities.
