A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE
PROCUREMENT OF AMBULANCE COTS AND ACCESSORIES FROM STRYKER
SALES CORPORATION, FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF
FIRE -RESCUE, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-111 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, UTILIZING THE EXISTING AND COMPETITIVELY
BID CONTRACT OF SEMINOLE COUNTY, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID
NO. 601038-10/LJS, FOR AMBULANCE COTS, STAIR PRO CHAIRS, SERVICES,
WARRANTY, AND RETROFIT ACCESSORIES, SUBJECT TO ANY RENEWALS,
EXTENSIONS, AND/OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY SEMINOLE COUNTY;
ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM GRANT 18-180053 - FEMA/USAR 2006, SUBJECT
TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF
NEED.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami Department of Fire -Rescue's ("Department") "piggyback" of the
Seminole County Contract, pursuant to Invitation for Bid ("IFB") No. 601038-10/LJS, will enable the
Department to procure ambulance cots and accessories at the lowest price and with additional
warranty coverage; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-111 of the Code the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, the
City of Miami ("City") Chief Procurement Officer has determined that the Seminole County Contract
for the procuring of ambulance cots and accessories was entered into pursuant to a competitive
process in compliance with the laws, policies, and procedures of the City;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The procurement of ambulance cots, stair pro chairs, services, warranty, and retrofit
accessories, utilizing the Seminole County Contract pursuant to IFB No. 601038-10/LJS, is
authorized, subject to any renewals, extensions, and/or replacement contracts by Seminole County,
with funds allocated from Grant 18-180053-FEMA/USAR 2006, subject to the availability of funds and
budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor.{1}

{1} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
