Purpose of Item: A Resolution authorizing and permitting the restriction of vehicular access to Freeman Street at its intersection with Tigertail Avenue, subject to approval of the Miami -Dade County Traffic Director. Background Information: Property owners in the residential neighborhood along Freeman Street have expressed concern about the unsafe five -way intersection at Tigertail Avenue, SW 22 Avenue and Freeman Street and have requested the City to restrict vehicular access to Freeman Street at its intersection with Tigertail Avenue. The Miami -Dade County Public Works/Waste Management Department has expressed no objection to this request subject to approval of the City's Police and Fire -Rescue Departments. The attached Resolution has been prepared in accordance with City Code Section 54-16 and will authorize the installation of a barricade at Tigertail Avenue to restrict access to Freeman Street. The Police, Fire -Rescue and Solid Waste Departments have been notified of this request and public hearing. Budget Impact Analysis NO Is this item related to revenue? YES Is this item an expenditure?
