Property owners abutting Freeman Street between Tigertail Avenue and Lincoln Avenue have
expressed concern about the unsafe five -way intersection at Tigertail Avenue, SW 22 Avenue
and Freeman Street and have requested the City to restrict access to Freeman Street at its
intersection with Tigertail Avenue. In response to their request, the City administration
recommends that vehicular access to Freeman Street be prohibited by the installation of a
barricade across the Freeman Street right of way at its intersection with Tigertail Avenue. As
directed by Miami City Code Section 54-16, this Department is soliciting written comments and
recommendations concerning this restriction from the Police, Fire -Rescue and. Solid Waste
Departments for presentation to the City Commission at their December 11, 2014 meeting.
