NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
ANY PERSON WHO RECEIVES COMPENSATION, REMUNERATION OR EXPENSES
FOR CONDUCTING LOBBYING ACTIVITIES IS REQUIRED TO REGISTER AS A
LOBBYIST WITH THE CITY CLERK PRIOR TO ENGAGING IN LOBBYING
ACTIVITIES BEFORE CITY STAFF, BOARDS AND COMMITTEES OR THE CITY
COMMISSION. A COPY OF THE APPLICABLE ORDINANCE IS AVAILABLE IN THE
OFFICE OF THE CITY CLERK (MIAMI CITY HALL), LOCATED AT 3500 PAN
AMERICAN DRIVE, MIAMI, FLORIDA, 33133.
AT THE SCHEDULED MEETING OF THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, TO BE HELD ON MAY 8, 2014 AT 9:00 A.M., IN ITS CHAMBERS AT CITY
HALL, 3500 PAN AMERICAN DRIVE, THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION WILL
CONSIDER THE FOLLOWING ITEM RELATED TO THE REGULAR AGENDA:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AMENDING
CHAPTER 54, ARTICLE 1 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, ENTITLED "STREETS AND SIDEWALKS/IN
GENERAL", MORE PARTICULARLY TO CREATE A NEW SECTION,
SECTION 54-4.1, TO CLOSE AND VACATE CERTAIN PUBLIC ALLEYS
THAT ARE NOT PAVED AND ARE NOT UTILIZED FOR VEHICULAR
AND PEDESTRIAN ACCESS; CONTAINING A SEVERABILITY CLAUSE
AND PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
Copies of the proposed Ordinance are available for review at the Public Works
Department, located at 444 SW 2nd Avenue, 8th Floor, during regular working hours.

The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties to be present or represented
at this meeting and are invited to express their views. Should any person desire to
appeal any decision of the City commission with respect to any matter considered at this
meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made,
including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S.
286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, persons needing special
accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City
Clerk at (305) 250-5361 (Voice) not later than two (2) business days prior to the
proceeding, or at (305) 250-5472 (TTY) no later than three (3) business days prior to the
proceeding.
