Subject: Resolution amending Capital Projects Appropriations Resolutions No. 14-0445 adopted
November 20, 2014.
Purpose of Item:
To appropriate new funding sources and to amend the Capital Improvements Appropriations
Resolutions No. 14-0445, to reflect the addition of these funds as well as other reprogramming of
existing funding.
Background Information:
New appropriations of grants from Florida Inland Navigation District are being established to fund
various Capital Improvements projects. New appropriations of grant from Miami Parking Authority is
being established to fund Peacock Park Site Improvements project, 40-B75883. New appropriations
of grants from Miami -Dade County are being established to fund various Capital Improvements
projects. New appropriations of grant from Florida Department of State is being established to fund
MP511 Munroe Marine Stadium Restoration project, 40-B70041. A new appropriation of grant from
Metropolitan Planning Organization is being established to fund Little Havana Bike / Pedestrian
Mobility Plan project, 40-B30645G. A new appropriation of revenue from Nicholson Construction is
being established to fund Virginia Key Kayak Launch - D2 project, 40-B40584. These new
appropriations, as well as reprogramming of existing funding to continue projects, require that the
Capital Improvements Appropriations Resolution No. 14-0445 be amended to reflect said changes to
the capital appropriations.
