Law Department Matter ID No. Purpose of Item: A Resolution rescinding Resolution No. 90-546 adopted June 7, 1990 that permanently restricted vehicular access to NW 23, 24, 26, 27 and 28 Streets at their intersection with NW 6 Avenue and NW 5 Avenue at its intersection with NW 22 Street, restoring vehicular access to said roadways and directing the removal of an existing barricade. Background Information: On June 7, 1990, the City Commission passed Resolution No. 90-431 adopting the Wynwood Safe Neighborhood Improvement District Plan. In response to recommendations in the Plan, the City Commission adopted Resolution No. 90-546 on July 12, 1990 permanently restricting vehicular access to certain streets within the District. Out of the six authorized locations, only one barricade was installed across NW 5 Avenue at NW 22 Street. The remaining locations have not been physically barricaded. The attached Resolution will rescind all of the restrictions authorized by Resolution No. 90-546, directing the removal of the one existing barricade and restore vehicular access to the roadways in the Wynwood Safe Neighborhood District.
