The initial term of the contract shall be for a period of four (4) years with the option to renew for two (2) additional one (1) year periods, subject to availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time need. Additional suppliers may be added to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami. Background Information: The City of Miami has a need to purchase police service dogs for Miami Police. On September 22, 2014, the Procurement Department issued an Invitation for Bid (IFB No. 457322). As required by the Procurement Code, the IFB was advertised and issued online. On October 7, 2014, at the bid opening, one (1) bid was submitted and tabulated. The Procurement Department is recommending award of the purchase of police service dogs, to Police Service Dogs, Inc., the sole responsive and responsible bidder.
