A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REVOCABLE LICENSE ("LICENSE") TO
WEATHERFLOW, INC., FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A POLE WITH WEATHER
INSTRUMENTATION TO BE PLACED AT MORNINGSIDE PARK, TO IMPROVE THE
ACCURACY OF OBSERVATIONS DURING LAND FALLING TROPICAL
CYCLONES, FOR INCREASED PUBLIC SAFETY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY
MANAGER TO EXECUTE A LICENSE, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM,
AND ANY OTHER NECESSARY DOCUMENTS FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") owns and operates Morningside Park ("Park"); and
WHEREAS, Weatherflow, Inc., has expressed its interest in installing a pole with weather
instruments inside the Park, for the purpose of improving the accuracy of observations during land
falling tropical cyclones, for increased public safety; and
WHEREAS, a Revocable License ("License") issued by the City would authorize Weatherflow,
Inc., to occupy the property solely for the limited purpose of collecting weather data, and no other
purpose; and
WHEREAS, Weatherflow, Inc., agrees to install the pole at no cost to the City; and
WHEREAS, the License should commence on the effective date, and shall continue on a
month -to -month period, subject to the provisions herein;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by
reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The issuance of a License to Weatherflow, Inc., for the installation of a pole with
weather instrumentation to be placed at the Park, to improve the accuracy of observations during land
falling tropical cyclones, for increased public safety, is authorized.
Section 3. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute a License, in substantially the attached
form, and any other necessary documents, for said purpose.
Section 4. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of
the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City Charter
and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall
become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
