AGENDA ITEM SUMMARY FORM CONTINUED
Background Information:
Pursuant to Resolution No. 13-0271, adopted July 11, 2013, the Miami City Commission approved
the allocation of ESG funds in the total amount of $362,264, which included an amount of
$126,792.40 to Citrus Health Network, Inc. for Rapid Rehousing & Homeless Prevention Program for
the period of April 1, 2013 to March 31, 2014.
In 2012 the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development ("HUD") provided two
years of ESG funding, 2011/2012 and 2012/2013 in one year; therefore, Citrus Health Network, Inc.,
expended their 2012-2013 allocations in 2013-2014, leaving unspent the 2013-2014 funds.
The extension of the time for the agreement will allow Citrus Health Network, Inc., to expend 2013-
2014 allocations in the 2014-2015 program year for a program that is very much needed in the
community.
The Administration recommends granting Citrus Health Network, Inc., an extension of time until
September 30th, 2015 to spend the funds for Rehousing & Homeless Prevention Program including
program administration.
