A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S),
AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF TENANT BROKER AND REAL ESTATE
CONSULTING SERVICES, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-111 OF THE CODE OF
THE CITY OF MIAMI, AS AMENDED, UTILIZING THE EXISTING STATE OF
FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF MANAGEMENT SERVICES ("DEPARTMENT")
CONTRACT, INVITATION TO NEGOTIATE NO. DMS-12/13-007, WHICH WAS
COMPETITIVELY SOLICITED; SUBJECT TO ANY EXTENSIONS AND/OR
REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE DEPARTMENT; ALLOCATING FUNDS
FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS OF THE USER DEPARTMENT,
SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT
THE TIME OF NEED, FOR SAID PURPOSE.
WHEREAS, the Department of Real Estate Asset Management's ("DREAM") "piggyback" of
the State of Florida Department of Management Services ("Department") Contract ("Management
Contract"), for the provision of Tenant Broker and Real Estate Consulting Services, pursuant to
Invitation to Negotiate ("ITN") No. DMS-12/13-007, will enable DREAM to have the assistance of
brokers for private sector leasing transactions as well as, but not limited to, management services and
lease negotiations, among other services; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 18-111 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as
amended, the City of Miami's ("City") Chief Procurement Officer determined that the Department's
Management Contract, for the provision of tenant broker and real estate consulting services, was
entered into pursuant to a competitive process in compliance with the City's laws, policies, and
procedures;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI,
FLORIDA:
Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted
by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section.
Section 2. The procurement of Tenant Broker and Real Estate Consulting Services, utilizing
the existing Department's Management Contract, ITN No. DMS-12/13-007, which was competitively
solicited, is authorized, subject to any extensions and/or replacement contracts by the Department,
with funds allocated from the various sources of funds of the user department, subject to the
availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need.
Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and
signature of the Mayor. {2}

Footnotes:
{1} The herein authorization is further subject to compliance with all requirements that may be
imposed by the City Attorney, including but not limited to those prescribed by applicable City
Charter and Code provisions.
{2} If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10)
calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it
shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
