HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 14-01153 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION AUTHORIZING THE PROCUREMENT OF APPLICATION TRACKING AND ON -BOARDING SERVICES FROM GOVERNMENTJOBS.COM, INC., D/B/A NEOGOV, FOR THE CITY OF MIAMI DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, PURSUANT TO SECTION 18-111 OF THE CODE OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA, AS AMENDED, UTILIZING THE COMPETITIVELY BID AND EXISTING BID CONTRACT OF THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, BID CONTRACT NO. ESC-0240-11, EFFECTIVE THROUGH MAY 31,-2015, SUBJECT TO ANY RENEWALS, EXTENSIONS, AND/OR REPLACEMENT CONTRACTS BY THE CITY OF JACKSONVILLE, FLORIDA, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED. WHEREAS, currently, the City of Miami ("City") is utilizing the GovernmentJobs.com, Inc., d/b/a/ NEOGOV ("NEOGOV"), application tracking and on -board services, this same system used by the City of Jacksonville, Florida; and WHEREAS, the City has determined that the use of this system remains of critical importance to the City's Department of Information Technology, as well as to the City's Department of Human Resources and its hiring efforts; and WHEREAS, the City wants to piggyback off of the contract currently in place between the City of Jacksonville, Florida and NEOGOV for the continued provision of these services; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The procurement of Application Tracking and On -Boarding Services from NEOGOV, for the City's Departments of Information Technology and Human Resources, pursuant to Section 18-111 of the Code of the City of Miami, Florida, as amended, utilizing the competitively bid and existing bid contract of the City of Jacksonville, Florida, Bid Contract No. ESC-0240-11, effective through May 31, 2015, subject to any renewals, extensions, and/or replacement contracts by the City of Jacksonville, Florida, is authorized, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 3. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission or upon the effective date stated herein, whichever is later.
