Please make arrangements to publish a Notice of Public Hearing for objections to the waiving of the
requirements for formal sealed bids for the sole source purchase of one hundred and eighty (180) day
free trial of one hundred forty-two (142) DriveCam units installed in Solid Waste fleet vehicles from Lytx.
Inc. Attached is the advertisement.
The public hearing has been scheduled for November 20, 2014.

CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA
NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on
November 20, 2014, at 9:00 a.m. in the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500
Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving the requirements of
obtaining competitive sealed bids for the sole source, at no cost trial of the DriveCam
System for Department of Solid Waste, from Lytx, Inc., located at 8911 Balboa Avenue,
San Diego, CA 92123.
Inquiries from other potential sources who feel that they might be able to satisfy the
City's requirements for this purchase may contact Mr. Richard McLaren, C.P.M., Senior
Procurement Specialist, in the City of Miami Procurement Department at (305) 416-
1958.
All interested persons are invited to appear and may be heard concerning such
proposed acquisition. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City
Commission with respect to any matter considered at this hearing, that person shall
ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and
evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S.286.0105).
In accordance with the Americans with Disabilities' Act of 1990, persons needing special
accommodations to participate in this proceeding may contact the Office of the City
Clerk at (305) 250-5361 (Voice) no later than two (2) business days prior to the
proceeding or at (305) 250-5472(TTY) no later than three (3) business days prior to the
