HomeMy WebLinkAboutLegislationCity of Miami Legislation Resolution City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 14-00910 Final Action Date: A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION, WITH ATTACHMENT(S), AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT FOR WATER AND SANITARY SEWAGE SERVICES WITH THE MIAMI-DADE COUNTY WATER AND SEWER DEPARTMENT, IN SUBSTANTIALLY THE ATTACHED FORM, FOR THE HADLEY PARK YOUTH CENTER, PROJECT NOS. B-35883AAND B-35883AS; ALLOCATING FUNDS IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,986.56 FROM CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NOS. B-35883AAND B-35883AS, FOR SAID PURPOSE. WHEREAS, the City of Miami ("City") is constructing a new youth center facility located at Hadley Park, 1300 Northwest 50th Street, Miami, Florida, as legally described in Exhibit "A," attached and incorporated; and WHEREAS, the City intends to connect 21,440 square feet of office building to Miami -Dade County's water and sewer systems; and WHEREAS, the capacity needed for the project based on the agreed average daily gallonage is 2,144 gallons, as detailed in Exhibit "B" and "C", attached and incorporated, resulting in combined water and sewer connection charges in the amount of $14,986.56; and WHEREAS, the City Manager requests authorization to execute an agreement for water and sanitary sewage services ("Agreement") with the Miami -Dade County Water and Sewer Department ("WASD"), for the Hadley Park Youth Center Project, Nos. B-35883A and B-35883AS ("Project"); and WHEREAS, funds are to be allocated from Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-35883A and B-35883AS; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The recitals and findings contained in the Preamble to this Resolution are adopted by reference and incorporated as fully set forth in this Section. Section 2. The City Manager is authorized{1} to execute an Agreement for water and sanitary sewage services, in substantially the attached form, with WASD, for the Project, with funds allocated in the amount of $14,986.56 from Capital Improvement Project Nos. B-35883A and B-35883AS, for said purpose. Section 3. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
