HomeMy WebLinkAboutR-14-0430City of Miami Legislation Resolution: R-14-0430 City Hall 3500 Pan American Drive Miami, FL 33133 www.miamigov.com File Number: 14-01055 Final Action Date: 11/20/2014 A RESOLUTION OF THE MIAMI CITY COMMISSION ACCEPTING THE BID RECEIVED AUGUST 26, 2014, PURSUANT TO INVITATION FOR BID NO. 459336, FROM LAWMEN'S AND SHOOTERS' SUPPLY, INC., THE LOWEST RESPONSIVE AND RESPONSIBLE BIDDER, FOR THE PURCHASE OF BADGES, WALLETS, AND INSIGNIAS, FOR THE DEPARTMENT OF POLICE, FOR AN INITIAL TERM OF TWO (2) YEARS, WITH THE OPTION TO RENEW FOR TWO (2) ONE (1) YEAR PERIODS; ALLOCATING FUNDS FROM THE VARIOUS SOURCES OF FUNDS FROM THE USER DEPARTMENTS AND AGENCIES, SUBJECT TO THE AVAILABILITY OF FUNDS AND BUDGETARY APPROVAL AT THE TIME OF NEED; AUTHORIZING ADDITIONAL SUPPLIERS TO THE CONTRACT AS DEEMED IN THE BEST INTEREST OF THE CITY OF MIAMI. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA: Section 1. The bid received August 26, 2014, pursuant to Invitation for Bid No. 459336, from Lawmen's and Shooters' Supply, Inc., the lowest responsive and responsible bidder, for the purchase of badges, wallets, and insignias, for the Department of Police, for an initial term of two (2) years, with the option to renew for two (2) one (1) year periods, with funds allocated from the various sources of funds from the user departments and agencies, subject to the availability of funds and budgetary approval at the time of need. Section 2. The addition of suppliers to the contract as deemed in the best interest of the City of Miami is authorized. Section 3. This Resolution shall become effective immediately upon its adoption and signature of the Mayor.{1} Footnotes: {1 } If the Mayor does not sign this Resolution, it shall become effective at the end of ten (10) calendar days from the date it was passed and adopted. If the Mayor vetoes this Resolution, it shall become effective immediately upon override of the veto by the City Commission.
