Purpose of Item: A Resolution of the Miami City Commission, with attachments, authorizing the City Manager to execute a Lease, in substantially the attached form, between the City of Miami ("Lessee") and Centennial Express, Inc. (the "Lessor"), for the City's use of approximately 1,326 square feet of warehouse/office space (the "Premises") located at 1251 NW 36 Street, Miami, Florida for three (3) years with two (2) additional one (1) year renewal options at a rental rate of $1,535.95 per month ($13.90 per square foot or $18,431.40 for the year) with other terms and conditions as more particularly set forth in the lease; further authorizing the City Manager to approve and execute non - substantive amendments and renewal options to such agreement as needed. Directo City Manager h Page 1 of 2 Subject: Lease agreement with Centennial Express, Inc. for the use of warehouse space for City of Miami Police Department use. Background Information: The City of Miami's ("City") Police Department currently occupies the premises under a month -to - month tenancy and has expressed a need to continue occupying the Premises. The City and the Lessor wish to enter into the Lease Agreement ("Lease"), attached and incorporated, with a monthly rent of $1,535.95, providing for an initial term of three (3) years, with the option to renew for two (2) successive terms of one (1) year each, subject to the rent increases provided for in the Lease.°/' J24r- yee-r Funds for this lease will be paid from General Funds.
