Purpose of Item:
AUTHORIZING THE ALLOCATION OF FUNDS FROM THE POVERTY INITIATIVE PROGRAM,
ACCOUNT NO. 14010.910101.882000, TOTALING $381,000, IN THE AMOUNTS AND TO THE
AGENCIES AS SPECIFIED IN EXHIBIT "A", ATTACHED AND INCORPORATED, FOR PUBLIC
SERVICES ACTIVITIES; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO EXECUTE AGREEMENTS, IN A
FORM ACCEPTABLE TO THE CITY ATTORNEY, WITH SAID AGENCIES, FOR SAID PURPOSE.

Background Information:
Due to the decrease of available Community Development Block Grant funds, all Public Service
agencies' allocations have been reduced.
The City Commission wishes to allocate funding to cover public service program shortfalls from the
Poverty Initiatives Program Fund, Account No. 14010.910101.882000 (these funds were transferred
from the General Fund NDA Account No. 00001.980000.891000).
The City Commission recommends the allocation of funds from the Poverty Initiatives, totaling
$381,000, in the amounts and to the agencies as specified in Exhibit "A", attached and incorporated.
