The Department of General Services Administration, submits this memorandum on behalf of the City Manager, requesting a Waiver of Competitive sealed Bidding Methods for the provision of custodial services at Miami City Hall. The agenda item requires a public hearing and a four -fifths (4/5ths) affirmative vote. The item is scheduled for the City Commission meeting of September 29, 2014. RF/jr CITY OF MIAMI, FLORIDA NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING A public hearing will be held by the City Commission of the City of Miami, Florida on September 29, 2014 at 9:00 a.m. In the City Commission Chambers at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, for the purpose of waiving the requirements of obtaining sealed competitive bids for the provision of Custodial Services at Miami City Hall and awarding said services to United Cerebral Palsy Association of Miami, Inc. (formerly Hope Center, Inc.). Inquiries from other service providers who feel they might be able to satisfy the City's requirement for services may contact Diana Arteaga, Senior Assistant to the City Manager at (305) 250-5477. The Miami City Commission requests all interested parties be present or represented at this meeting and are invited to express their views. Should any person desire to appeal any decision of the City Commission with respect to any matter considered at this meeting, that person shall ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based (F.S. 286.0105).
